In response to the Covid-19 pandemic and the stay at home order issued by the governor, Public Service Credit Union, as an essential business, will remain OPEN.  The drive thru at both offices will remain open for all your financial needs including new accounts, loans, transactions & more.  Please read the updates below for more details.  If you need assistance fill out this Request for Assistance.

COVID-19 UPDATE: APRIL 7, 2021

Indiana Governor Eric Holcomb has lifted the state wide mask mandate. Wearing a mask inside PSCU is now optional for members and employees. If you are wearing a mask, we will continue to ask you to remove your mask in the vestibule to verify your identity before entering through the lobby doors. Please do not enter the building if you feel sick or have any symptoms.
The plexiglass barriers will remain in place as well as social distancing guidelines. Please continue to follow our social distancing floor markers and use the hand sanitizer provided. The drive thru is also available for all transactions and as always, we continue to encourage using electronic banking as much as possible.

UPDATE JANUARY 28TH

Beginning February 1, 2021, the lobbies at both offices will re-open and the Jefferson Office drive thru will close at 5:00PM on Thursdays. All other hours remain the same.

UPDATE NOVEMBER 20TH

Due to the increase in COVID-19 and Allen County’s new Red Zone designation; PSCU’s lobbies will be closed for regular transactions. The drive-thru at the Jefferson and Old Trail offices will remain open.  To schedule a lobby appointment call 260-432-3433 option 2.  We encourage you to use electronic services for your transactions as well as the drive thru and ATMs.

Recommendations for banking without visiting a branch:
  • Verify that you can login to your account online or with the mobile app. If you need assistance or your password reset, give us a call at 260-432-3433 option 2.
  • If you do not have a PSCU debit card, we highly recommend that you request one to make it easier to access the money in your account. You can use it to make purchases at stores or online and to get cash at an ATM. Plus, since PSCU’s debit cards are issued by VISA, there’s 0% liability if the card is lost or stolen.
  • Download the PSCU mobile app and register for Mobile Check Deposit, so when you get a check you can deposit it without having to visit a branch.
  • If you need cash, use a surcharge free Alliance One ATM. Find the ATM closest to you.
  • If you are off work and may have trouble paying your loans, please contact us right away so we can help you get through your situation and keep your credit score in check. We will work with you to find a mutual solution.

UPDATE JULY 27TH

Beginning Monday, July 27th, we will be following the governors executive order for wearing face coverings in public.  If you are entering our lobby, you will be required to wear a face mask.  We will ask you to remove your mask in the vestibule to verify your identity before entering through the lobby doors.  Please continue to follow our social distancing guideline floor markers and use the hand sanitizer provided.  The drive thru is available if you cannot wear a mask, and as always, we continue to encourage using electronic banking as much as possible.

Starting today, our lobbies will be open regular hours!  We will still keep social distancing guidelines in place and ask that you follow floor markers to ensure a safe distance.   We also continue to recommend using the drive thru, ATM and electronic banking as much as possible.

UPDATE JUNE 10TH

We will re-open our lobbies on Monday, June 15th with modified hours and some new guidelines in place.
New lobby hours for Old Trail & Jefferson:
  • Monday: 8:30-11:30 & 2:30-4:30
  • Tuesday: 8:30-11:30 & 2:30-4:30
  • Wednesday: 9:30-11:30 & 2:30-4:30
  • Thursday: 8:30-11:30 & 2:30-4:30
  • Friday: 8:30-11:30 & 2:30-4:30
The drive thru will remain open our regular hours and we encourage you to continue using the drive thru as much as possible.

New guidelines:
  • Social distancing floor markers have been placed to assist in keeping everyone 6 feet apart.
  • We have limited the amount of members allowed in the lobby at one time.
  • Greeters will be at the front door to help guide everyone.
  • Masks will be allowed in the buildings but must be removed to verify identity before entering the lobby.
  • Plexiglas barriers have been added at the teller area and in the offices.
  • The modified lobby hours will allow time for sanitizing during the day.
  • Each member will get a sanitized pen to use and we will have a bucket to discard the pen in after use so it can be sanitized.

UPDATE MAY 29TH

We plan to re-open our lobbies on Monday, June 15th as long as the Governor’s current re-opening plans remain unchanged.  We’ll be following social distancing guidelines and we’ll have more details coming soon.

UPDATE MAY 8TH

Now that the governor has communicated his plan for re-opening the state, we’ve had the opportunity to start creating a plan of our own.
First, as a precaution the lobbies at Public Service Credit Union will remain closed for normal business. Beginning Monday, May 11th lobby appointments will be available if needed. The drive thru will remain OPEN at our Jefferson and Old Trail locations.
Aside from the lobbies being closed, PSCU continues to operate as normal. We have the capability to do loans electronically and we encourage you to use all the electronic services available. We will allow loans and new accounts to be opened in the first lane of the drive thru or in the lobbies by appointment only.

We know there are so many of our members and their families who are struggling right now, we wanted to reach out with a few ways we’re trying to help.

SKIP-A-PAY:  Don’t worry about making the next payment on your vehicle, personal loan, motorcycle, RV or boat loan. Just fill out the skip-a-pay form and return it to PSCU to get started.

PERSONAL LOANS:  Right now we’re offering personal loans to help you get a low monthly payment, plus we’ll also allow you to go 90 days before your first payment!  Apply online or by phone!

MORTGAGE & HELOC RELIEF:  If your mortgage or home equity line of credit is financed with PSCU, we may be able to help you with some payment relief solutions.  Give us a call, we’ll work with you to find a solution and keep your credit score in check. Contact us.

LOYALTY POINTS:   Loyalty Points aren’t something new but they can help you a lot during this time!  Use your points to waive fees or to get up to .50% off your new loan rate!  Login to your account to see how many Loyalty Points you have available!  Give us a call to redeem them.

With the new ‘Stay at Home’ order issued by the governor please read this letter from our CEO:

Public Service Credit Union is OPEN and continuing to provide services. We will REMAIN open even with Governor Holcomb announcing a ‘Stay at Home’ Executive Order directing all non-essential businesses and operations to TEMPORARILY suspend in-person operations … the order is in effect from March 25 at 12:01 am through 11:59 pm April 6.

Financial Institutions are included as an essential business … Public Service Credit Union will continue to provide services to our members. We are providing services through our drive-ups, ATM, online and mobile banking, and by phone. You can reach us at 260-432-3433. You can find updates to our COVID 19 actions at www.mypscu.com.

UPDATE MARCH 18TH

The current COVID-19 pandemic has created a disruption in nearly all aspects of our lives. We wanted to take a minute to express our gratitude for our members and give you an update on the actions Public Service Credit Union is taking to ensure the safety of our members, employees and community.

First, as a precaution the lobbies at Public Service Credit Union will be temporarily closed beginning Thursday, March 19th. The drive thru will remain OPEN at our Jefferson and Old Trail locations.

Public Service Credit Union was founded in 1932 and has seen many ups and downs in the economy. PSCU remains a safe and strong financial institution for all members.  As a reminder, your deposits are federally insured up to $250,000 by the National Credit Union Administration (NCUA) and an additional $250,000 by Excess Share Insurance (ESI).

Aside from the lobbies closing, PSCU continues to operate as normal. We have the capability to do loans electronically and we encourage you to use all the electronic services available. We will allow loans and new accounts to be opened in the first lane of the drive thru.
